New Comics Wednesday 5/13/15

Here are the comics that I’m getting from this week:

  • ASTRO CITY #23: See the cover below!
  • SAGA #28
  • SIP KIDS #3: Yay! More SiP Kids goodness from Terry Moore!
  • STAR TREK: NEW VISIONS: RESISTANCE: I have been loving this series of photo manipulations by John Byrne, but I am sick of the Borg showing up in non-TNG eras (first Enterprise and now TOS).
  • STAR TREK #45
  • THOR #8: See pick of the week below!

Not pulled but worth mentioning: Robin, the Boy Wonder: A Celebration of 75 Years HC. Being such a huge Robin fan, you might think that I would have ordered this, but I didn’t know what was being included in this and didn’t want to spend money on reprints of issues/stories that I already have. But now my Robin OCD has me regretting that decision.

Pick of the week: While I would normally pick SiP Kids or even Star Trek: New Visions, the pick of the week is Marvel’s Thor #8 by Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman. This book is so much fun to read, and we find out who is behind the helm, although I don’t really care who it is.

Best cover: Astro City #23 by Alex Ross. It’s a gorilla! In a t-shirt and ball cap taking a selfie! This is comic book gold!

Here’s a list of new comics for this week. What are you buying?

Absolutely. I’m historically a DC reader, but Thor is now one of my go-to books. It is really, really good!

By the way… I listen to the podcast fairly regularly, but have not taken the time to write in until now. I like your show and your site… Good stuff. Keep it up!

Thanks Zach! It’s always an immense pleasure to hear from listeners, but also the blog readers!

Isn’t Thor awesome?! Jason Aaron has been killing it for some time now.
