Pick of the week: Gah! So many to choose from! I’m anxious to read how “Endgame” concludes in Batman, the end of the Avengers titles, the Des Taylor drawn Scarlette Couture, the Convergence minis (though the previous week’s didn’t wow me like I thought some of them would), the beginning of the “Darkseid War” in Justice League, but Multiversity #2 takes the top spot. How will comics end? Only Grant Morrison knows for sure.
Best cover: Convergence: Detective Comics #1 by Bill Sienkiewicz, cuz it’s Sienkiewicz! I love the way his Huntress looks, but the one wide eye on Robin (not to mention that horrible R over the bat symbol version of Robin’s costume), while typical of the artist, throws me–mostly because I hate when Robin appears less than in comparison to others. I also like the simple color palette, the circle patterns in the upper right, and the building structures in the background. Runner up: New Avengers #33 by Dustin Weaver. Holy crap! Weaver can draw the hell out of anything. You also know that when Doom is down, shit just got real bad!
