My Week in Comics

So it’s only a few days away from the Fourth of July holiday. I actually get that day off of work (paid!), and add that it falls on Friday, I get a three-day weekend out of the deal! To my fellow Americans, have a safe and sane Fourth.

Because it’s a holiday weekend, and that it’s the first week of the month, that means I get to drive 80 miles to the Comic Book Shop in Spokane and pick up the last month’s worth of titles and visit with one of the employees, Matt (he’s a pretty cool guy). My granddaughters are with us this weekend too, and they love going to the comic shop, mostly because Matt adores them and talks to them, and they get comics.

I also got two weeks worth of comics yesterday from DCBS, including the new Previews. I love going through that catalog every month. Who knows what gems I will find? So, holiday weekend, comic book shop, and new comics to read: win! But the fun doesn’t stop there, no sir. I also plan to record a new episode of the podcast with my good buddy Travis.
