Previews!
Here are some new comics that I’ve preordered from this month’s Previews catalog.
- New Avengers Annual #1: Interesting that Hickman isn’t writing this.
- Thanos: the Infinity Revelation OGN HC: Two words x 3: Jim Starlin, Jim Starlin, JIM STARLIN!
- Infinity Man and the Forever People: Fourth World goodness? A lot of people went ga-ga over DiDio and Giffen’s OMAC when the New 52 launched, but I haven’t read it yet (though I have the issues). More people think DiDio is the devil, so it all balances out, I guess? Regardless, I’m interested. (Truth time: when I first heard the title of this comic, I immediately thought of the Infinite Man from the Legion, and I thought that this would mash up the two franchises. Now I know better. Oh, well.)
- Superman #32: Geoff Johns writing? Sign me up. John Romita Jr. on art? Ehh. I do have an issue with that preview cover image: Superman should never drool (or is it miscolored?). Regardless, I’m curious what this team will bring to the Man of Steel.
- There’s another Legends of the Dark Knight Super Spectacular. ‘Nuff said.
- Tiny Titans is back!!! It’s a mini-series, but still. I’m actually ordering two copies–one for me and one for my granddaughters to read.
- The team behind Phonogram and the Young Avengers (Gillen and McKelvie) is working on The Wicked + the Divine. When this was announced at Image Expo, and I saw the preview images, I knew I would be buying this.
- Speaking of Phonogram, I finally ordered the first trade.
- I love it when I turn the pages of Previews and discover something of which I was totally ignorant, but knew instantly that I wanted to read it. In this case, Joshua Luna’s Whispers tpb is that thing.
- I read the first volume of Peter Panzerfaust recently, so when I saw that I could order the second volume, it was a no-brainer.
Other
- Rachel Rising #26: Just please order it.
