Longbox Review

Stingray was just cool. First, you have the car. Second, you have super cool mystery man, jack of all trades “Ray”, played by a guy I’d never heard of before, Nick Mancuso. Third, while it was just another PI type show, this one had a twist: instead of being paid to help people with their problems, Ray charged favors. If he helped you, you owed him one favor to be collected at some future date. One thing I loved about this aspect was that past guest stars would have cameos on future shows! No one else was doing that back then. Alas, the show didn’t last. I’m sure the time between the seasons didn’t help: it was eight months between the pilot episode and the start of season one; it was the same amount of time between seasons 1 and 2 as well.
