News

Since I’ll be going to Emerald City Comicon for the fourth straight year, here’s some stuff that caught my attention.

• Let’s start with the bad news first: if you were hoping to attend ECCC 2014 and you still don’t have a ticket, well, you’re out of luck because they sold out on 3/13. There is still hope (probably), however. Some people can’t make it after all and are selling their tickets. Check the ECCC Facebook page and Tumblr.
• Jim Lee, DC Comics’ co-publisher, is making an appearance Friday only. Did Mr. Lee just hear what a great show this and wanted to see it for himself, or is something going to be announced while he’s there…?
• Karen Gillen will be a Sunday only guest. I believe she has the final main hall slot of the con. Being that I love red heads and Scots, this is a must attend for me. Plus, she was in a little known thing called Doctor Who!
• Finally, my wife and I will be taking our granddaughters for the first time, so that should be interesting. Maddy, the younger one, hates walking a lot and sitting for long periods, so this should be fun!
