Here’s a comic chosen at random from my collection.
Batman #713 by Fabian Nicieza (writer), Steve Scott, Daniel Sampere, & Andrei Bressan (pencillers), Walden Wong, Rich Perrotta, Andrei Bressan, & Rodney Ramos (inkers), Jared K. Fletcher (letterer), Ian Hannin (colors), and Tony Daniel (cover)
The last issue of Batman published continuously (I believe) since 1940. I have actually acquired this issue twice, my desire to have this was so strong (that and my Wishlist updating skills are not strong, apparently). Regardless, I still wanted this final issue, as I did the final issues of Action Comics and Detective Comics after the New 52 relaunch. I especially wanted this particular comic because I read somewhere that it focused on Dick Grayson. Not only does it do that, but who the narrator of the story turns out to be (I’m not going to spoil it for you–go read it!) and what he says about Dick is particularly poignant. Also, near the end, a few young boys who are listening to this story are named Bob, Bill, and Jerry. Nice touch there.
