What can I say? It had a high-tech helicopter that was superfast and blew things up. I also recall liking Jan-Michael Vincent’s portrayal of Stringfellow Hawke in the first season. In the second season, they took away his cello playing and cabin locale (as I recall anyway), and brought in other cast members that I thought detracted from the relationship between Hawke and Ernest Borgnine’s Dominic Santini. I never did watch all the later episodes, falling off somewhere near the end of season 2, though I may have watched a few episodes from season 3. I understand they also did a sequel of sorts where St. John Hawke (Stringfellow’s missing brother) becomes the pilot.
