For Your Consideration
- GHOST #1: For those who enjoy the character/concept. I didn’t get into the mini a few months ago, despite the Ryan Sook art.
- HARLEY QUINN #1: Will you let me know how this is, please?
- SUPERMAN VS MONGUL TP: Man, I so wanted this book, but I have all the issues in it–No, scratch that. I will own it some day.
- TEEN TITANS GO #1: For those who like the cartoon series, or maybe want to entice some younger readers into comics?
- WAKE PART ONE #1: If you wanted a collected edition of the first half of the Scott Snyder series, here’s your chance.
News
- The long-awaited (?) Paul Dini written Black Canary and Zatanna graphic novel will see print come May 2014, with art by Joe Quinones. Not even interested. Are you?
- So. Joseph Gordan Levitt is a producer on a Sandman movie, and the Internet esplodes!
- Charles Soule maintains his reputation as the busiest writer in comics (at least in my eyes) by taking over the writing for Inhuman from Matt Fraction. Doesn’t this guy ever sleep?
- Before Al Plastino died, he had wanted his Superman meets JFK art to be donated to the JFK Presidential Library, and he thought it had been, but it turned out it wasn’t. DC Entertainment announced that it had acquired the art and donated it on Mr. Plastino’s behalf. Say what you will about DC Entertainment, but I think that was pretty classy of it.
- Finally, Archie Comics donated over $1M worth of children’s books to Toys for Tots. Even classier!
