Favorite tv shows: Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988)

Sometimes I vacillate between this and Star Trek as my all-time FAVORITE tv show, but it’s really this. I love the characters, especially Magnum (of course) and Higgins. I enjoyed the back story of the characters that was developed over 8 years. I also liked the minor supernatural aspects of this show (Magnum’s “little voice” and the “ghosts”). But what really draws me in is the friendships. There’s the obvious teammates aspects of Magnum, TC, and Rick, but there’s also the begrudging friendship between Magnum & Higgins. Despite the irritation that Higgins and Magnum had for each other, when the chips were down, they were there for each other, and that was cool.
