Who doesn’t love free comics on Free Comic Book Day? But you know what’s better? Buying comics to support your local comic shop. I’ll be at the Comic Book Shop in Spokane, Washington, today to get some free comics, but also to buy a bunch of stuff 1) to do my part (however small) to help keep the doors open and my hobby alive, and 2) owner Craig, manager Matt, and Heather are really cool people that I like to hang out with. You know, when hundreds of like-minded people aren’t clamoring for their free books! :)
Also, if you do partake in FCBD, buy some comics to share with others. Kids, yes, definitely, but maybe also an adult you know who you think would enjoy a good story and great art. Share the love!
