Here’s a comic chosen at random from my collection.
I almost had “my” Legion back with this 2005 series. Regardless, I had a great collaborative team in Mark Waid and Barry Kitson delivering new takes on familiar characters (“Micro” Lad, Phantom Girl, Triplicate Girl). Eventually, it was revealed that this Legion was from Earth-Prime (Legion of 3 Worlds), which I thought was a nice touch.
This issue we are told how the Legion maintains its expenses, get some back-story on Princess Projectra, and witness the beginning of the economic collapse of the United Planets. Not bad for 19 pages (ok, it was a 20 page story, but one page was just a roll call).
