It’s the final episode of 2012 with a look through Previews, just in time for your last-minute holiday shopping, but I start off with a real-time reaction to the firing of Gail Simone off of Batgirl.

Gail Simone off Batgirl is a shame but how she was told is just sad. Thankfully this is Gail Simone we’re talking about and there is no doubt she’ll have more work and future success.
Are you aware of the Leaving Megalopolis book she is doing with Jim Calafiore? I can’t remember if you’ve brought it up before or not. It was an enormous success on Kickstarter and is one of my most anticipated reads for next year.
I have family out in Idaho and before I ever knew your location I could tell from your accent you were from that area. Anyways, great episode and Happy Holidays!

I have an accent? :) Yes, I had heard about Gail’s Kickstarter project and I am anxiously awaiting it.
If you don’t mind, where are your Idaho relatives located?
Thanks for the compliment, and happy holidays to you as well!

My step-sister moved out there(from Minnesota) with her mom and step-dad about 20 years ago. I’m not exactly sure which town it was but I know they worked for the forestry service.
About 10 years ago my step-dad retired(my step sis is his daughter) and he and my mom moved to the Boise area. My mom used to work at the airport and my other sister currently does for Alaskan airlines. That step-sister of mine is an English teacher in the area now.
I haven’t been out to visit since ’04 but I really enjoy the area. It’s always been hot and I’d like to come out there in the winter and go skiing.

Very nice. Just so you know, we have excellent skiing opportunities up here in the north as well. :)
