First, my list of comics for the week.
- Brightest Day #6
- DC Universe Legacies #3
- Legion of Super-Heroes #3
- Zatanna #3
Also out this week is the latest The Walking Dead trade (volume 12, “Life Among Them”). I will be picking that up.
After Brave and the Bold returned from comic book limbo, I kept waiting for an announcement regarding that other great team-up book from yesteryear, DC Comics Presents, but there’s been nothing for three years. Until last week. The Source announced a new line up of comics under the DC Comics Presents banner. They arrive in October and are a bit pricey at $7.99 (!!!) for 96 pages of reprints. Okay, for 96 pages, $8 isn’t bad, but holy cats! $8 for reprints!? As for the titles, I might consider buying the Young Justice one, only because I completely missed out on that title, and the Brightest Day tie-in.
I’m of two minds when it comes to the banner title. While it totally makes sense to use DC Comics Presents offering special stories (reprints or otherwise), it seems a little odd that they chose to use a title that is associated with the bronze age Superman team-up book. Then again, maybe it’s been long enough that the younger readers have never even heard of the title, or DC figures no one cares (except for people like me who obsess over minutia such as this).
Will you be buying any of these DC Comics Presents titles?
Heh. Yeah, I meant the DC Comics Presents titles, but how are you liking Zatanna, and how is Ethan liking Legion? Or will you be posting that soon at your own comic blog? *nods*

Any of what titles? The ones under DC Comics Presents? No, probably not, but I haven’t looked it over that close to see what all is there. As far as them using that title, most readers now have no idea what you are talking about when you say “bronze age Superman”. That’s just you showing your age. ;) Of the other titles you listen I’m getting Zatanna and Ethan is getting Legion.
