Breaking news! DC just announced at the Source that Batwoman will get her ongoing series penned in both senses of the word by J. H. Williams III (and co-writer W. Haden Blackman). Unfortunately, Williams will only be drawing the first arc. I guess I’ll be adding another title to my pull list.

I put most of the wow! factor of the Detective run squarely on Mr. Williams. Not that Rucka isn't a good writer, but the book was just so beautiful and the story was ok.

Sounds like from reading CBR that Williams will be drawing every other arc. So I guess we'll find out how much of how good this comic was was based on the artist and not the writer.
